Don asked me to write some stuff for his blog, and he wrote a little story about how we met.
Check it out… donmilleris.com
I love how serious some of the people are in the comment section.
And if you’ve never read any of Don’s writings, you have to check out Blue Like Jazz. He’s great.

So, this is Brad having to buzz his hair off:

And that was me making a regretful face.
He was cutting his own hair and had called me into the bathroom and asked me to make sure the back was alright. And I noticed it was a little off, so he handed me the clippers and I lightly fixed it.
And by that I mean instantly took out a huge chunk. So I tried fixing it, making this awful scowl that he could clearly see in the middle.
I apologized and he said he could just buzz it. And I said, “Yeah, you better.” He then asked if I could fix it, and I then made it much worse.
So I apologized again and he said not to worry about it, so I instantly stopped worrying about it.
Brad is my BFF Roommate!

Hey, I have another design in the running and so far response has been really good. Take a minute por favor and vote for it (a ‘5′ would be great!) It’s a site that let’s people submit and vote on designs. It’s pretty fun to vote on stuff, actually. If I win, then it means I can pay rent for a little while.
Click on this to be taken there…

So today I went to the desert above LA, got dressed up in 4 layers of clothes (including newspapers, telephone cords, boxers on my head, and very little dignity), had my beard covered with goop to make it look frosted, and thrown on set with an actor/musician/magician named Robert, where we were told to sit next to a crashed plane and act like we were freezing in the 100 degree heat.
And from time to time we were told to look at a six foot rubbery red Swedish Fish.
My life is surreal. Here’s some pics. I think we look rather stately for plane crash survivors. Click to enlarge

It’s a cat. A cat with a badge.
Holding a gun.
And he’s going to bring down the man who killed his partner.
And even though the captain’s taken him off the case (he was too close to it, too much of a loose cannon), the cat’s not letting him get away with murder. Not tonight.

(I submitted this as a design to Threadless. We’ll see if they put it up for a vote.)

So, I put together yet another website dedicated to myself. I know, it’s pretty pathetic. But at least this one has a purpose. I’m trying to find an illustration rep, but I, uh, um, have no idea how to do that.
Anyways, click on the picture of a weeping Bill O’Reilly to go to the site. By the way, if you ever want to draw Bill crying, just draw him screaming and add tears and a teddy bear.

A design I did for my buddy Alex’s new sketch group. He’s a funny guy. A funny, violent guy.
*Note: This looks nothing like ALex. Unfortunately.
