Filmed a series of shorts to promote Nelly’s new album. Yes, I was in a Nelly music video. Technically.

A few of us improvisors held ‘auditions’ for girls to be dancers in his new video. Which was pretty much a lie. The girls are all real, though. We pretty much all felt like horrible jerks afterwards, except for Josh, who came up with the idea in the first place. He LOVED it. But at the end of the day it came out pretty funny and we didn’t make anyone but ourselves look that bad.

But here I am standing in for Nelly.

1) Just finished this new painting. Lindsay already called dibbs. Click on it to see it bigger.

2) Threadless has just turned my ‘Optical Illusion Kid’ shirt into a print. Click on the picture to see the store.

3) I’m still on for illustrating the cover for Donald Miller’s upcoming book Let Story Guide You. I talked with him last week and he told me this big long story I didn’t really listen to, (there was something shiny catching my eye) but I caught the part about it coming out next year and I’m still part of the project. So that’s good.

I have another painting almost done. Maybe I’ll get it up here this coming week. Headed to Sacramento for a friend’s wedding. Hooray. Sacramento, I-5 and tucking in my shirt. Ugh. But I’m betting open bar, so HUZZAH!

Hee hee. It’s like a cussword I can say around my mom.

There was like a good five minute discussion between Shaun and his brother about wearing the shorts. Me? I have no brother, so it was an instant done deal.
